Lots of bloody slomo deaths, a dark streak of weird humor, Joe Strummer’s synth and sax-heavy soundtrack…why am I just getting around to watching this? Somebody needs to give Alex Cox some money again. 

Pretty sure no one said “Daddy likey” in 1987. It’s got that guy they hire when Jack Black won’t do it and Bob Odenkirk has already been wasted in a nothing part. I’m going to stick with it until Michael Ian Black purportedly shows up but then I’m out. 

Unexpectedly awesome. Had no idea it was from the director of Monster Squad and Night of the Creeps. Peter Weller’s chin is gone but 80 year old Nancy Allen is still popping bubblegum bubbles and beating up punks. Also featuring Rip Torn as the evil OCP boss, Bradley Whitford as Miguel Ferrer, CCH Pounder and Stephen Root (!) as techno revolutionaries and in one brief scene Jeff Garlin as “Donut Jerk”.

There are currently 7 kinds of RoboCop movies on Instant. Get to it.
